Australian poet Pam Brown once wrote, “Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, storytellers, and singers of song.” Those called to the vocation of fatherhood might not think of themselves as heroes, but to the children who love them, they most certainly are.
Pray
Dear God, bless fathers all over the world on this and every day.
Help them to see clearly the path of their vocation as parents.
Guide them as they navigate a challenging and changing world
with grace and courage. Temper their strength with sensitivity
and their knowledge with wonder and curiosity.
May they seek to be servant leaders in their families
and in their communities.
And may they always look to you for guidance
when the way forward seems unclear.

Think of someone in your life who is a father. Let that person know that you’ve noticed something in their parenting that you find inspiring or uplifting.
