Faith

This week, we hear Jesus tell his followers of ways in which they should help those who are in need. He then also offers a warning to those who have not cared for those people.

In this week's Gospel, Jesus fills the nets of Peter and his fellow fisherman until they are overflowing. He then tells them that going forward they will be fishers of men.

At the start of the second week of Advent, we hear from the Gospel of Mark about John the Baptist's foretelling of the coming of Christ and his baptisms of people in the Jordan river.

This week we begin our journey into the season of Advent. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the disciples to be alert for they know not when the Lord will come.

When the Son of Man comes, this week's Gospel tells us, the nations will be separated based on what they did to help those in need.
