Throughout the course of the year, people spend a good deal of money to show those in their lives how much they are loved and cared for. But will we take that idea and turn it toward ourselves? Probably not.

There is suffering all around us. No matter the scope, we all suffer in some way. That’s good to remember when we’re interacting with people in our daily lives. Let someone going through a difficult time know that you are thinking of and praying for him or her.

We live in very divided times. Sometimes it seems as if there is nothing people can discuss without becoming defensive, angry or hurt. In order to move forward though, we must find a way to bridge those gaps.

Sister Anita Baird wants to make sure that every person’s vote matters, especially those in the minority.

As a parent, I’m well aware of the art of compromise. In fact, I think it’s something that most parents are well versed in.

When was the last time you did something that brought you that same feeling of joy you experienced as a youngster? Just because we grow older, doesn’t mean we have to lose that sense of adventure and fun.

This month, as we celebrate Mother Mary, let us embrace and express gratitude for the many ways in which our mother helps us untie our troubles when we most need her.
