Luke’s Gospel describes Jesus nearing his last journey to Jerusalem where eventually he will face his passion and death–the victim of unwarranted hate.

The time we have on earth is limited. When death comes we have only ourselves to present to the Lord.

I don’t read a lot of poetry, but I do have a favorite author and one who is deeply appreciated by many: Emily Dickinson.

One of the graces each of us has is being an “instrument of peace” that God can use for the sake of others. Indeed we are the hands of God.

It’s good if we’re able to say yes to the moments of grace in our lives that arise from time to time and come to us unexpectedly.

The word holiness can have a discouraging effect on people. Some immediately dismiss it, perhaps a bit sadly, since they believe that whatever it is, holiness is way beyond their reach.
