Reflect

How long, O Lord? The prophet Habakkuk names what so many of us feel when prayers go unanswered or when injustice drags on. But God’s answer is tender and clear: the vision still has its time. In the Gospel, the apostles ask Jesus to increase their faith. And Jesus doesn’t give them more faith—he reminds them that even faith the size of a mustard seed holds divine power. Faith isn’t measured by size, but by trust that God is still moving, even when we cannot see it.

Pray

God of patience,
help me to trust when the answer is slow.
Increase not the quantity of my faith,
but the steadiness of it.
When I grow weary in the waiting,
remind me that You are still at work.
Write your vision on my heart,
and teach me to walk by faith,
not by sight.
Amen.

Act

Write down one hope or prayer that feels long unanswered. Place it where you’ll see it each day this week and let it become a prayer of persistence.
