Pause
Mary’s Assumption into heaven is not just about her—it’s a promise for us. Where she has gone we are invited to follow. Her life, full of trust and surrender, now rests fully in the embrace of God. As Pope Benedict XVI said, “The Assumption reminds us that Mary’s life—like that of each of us—is a journey that has a meaning and a goal: a future full of hope.” The Assumption is not an escape—it’s a fulfillment. And it reminds us that nothing given to God is ever lost.
Pray
Mary, Mother of God and our mother, pray for me as I walk this life of faith. Help me to trust as you did—to say yes when I’m unsure, to remain when I’d rather run. Teach me to live with heaven in view and humility in hand. May your Assumption fill me with hope that God is not done with my story yet.
Act
Honor Mary today by doing something with great love and hidden humility. Offer it as a quiet yes to God’s plan for your life.
