It’s probably not difficult to recall times in our life’s journey when we were “lost and wayward.” We really needed to be found again through God’s love and care for us. Then too, we may have been helpful to others when the Lord used us as his shepherd.
Saint Lawrence of Brindisi
A Capuchin Franciscan, Saint Lawrence of Brindisi was a scholar, administrator, preacher, and lover of the poor. Versed in many languages, Saint Lawrence was an outstanding scripture scholar and used his knowledge of the holy writings to produce many homilies. He served his community as Minister General and served the papacy as an emissary and peacemaker.
Begin Again
Saint Francis of Assisi famously said, “Let us begin again, for up to now we have done nothing.” Each day is a new start to make a difference in the world around you, to soak up God’s mercy and love for you, and to try again to be the best version of yourself for the Lord.
