Monday of the Second Week of Advent

Daily Reading from the USCCB: Isaiah 35:1-10
Isaiah continues his message about the coming of the Lord, a message that is pertinent to us today, among whom there are so many whose faith is feeble.
God is always watering the desert and making highways for his people whether it’s a matter of freeing his people from slavery in Egypt or bringing them home from Babylon, whether it’s to prepare for the coming of God’s Son as man or for the final coming of the Messiah in glory. God is always busy bringing us into freedom.
The Lord may not come immediately and make everything right this very day, but he has promised to come and he will come. God’s careful providence for us calls for our attention and our gratitude.
