Reflect
In Luke’s Gospel (9:35), the apostles are instructed by God to listen to his Son. It’s a reminder that we should all stop and listen in both our faith and our everyday lives. There might be something important that we need to hear.
Pray
Dear God, encourage us to quiet ourselves
so that we can hear what you want us to.
May we open our ears to the many wonderful sounds
that surround us every day.
Those sounds are your handiwork, so let us absorb them
and revel in their glory.
Amen.

Close your eyes and stand quietly for a few minutes. Take in all the wonderful sounds around you.
