In our modern world, information and misinformation are everywhere. It can be tough to sort through all the facts and lies—to know what’s true and who’s trustworthy. Who has authority over your heart? Where do you gather information?
Pray
Dear Jesus, Scripture tells us that you are the way, the truth, and the life.
In this noisy world, I am overwhelmed with all the messages and information.
I am weary, confused, and unsure about what’s true.
I don’t know where to focus or where you are leading me.
Yet, I do believe you are the way and the truth,
so I pray that I am always open to learning and growth,
to changing my mind and heart so that I better reflect your truth.
Amen.
Act
Today, try getting information from a different news source than you typically do. As you take in the information, notice your reactions and assumptions. Ask Christ for the grace to have an attitude of openness and curiosity, so God can teach you the truth, and guide you to greater development as a person.
