Jesus was tempted in the desert by the devil. He was tired and hungry after his 40-day fast. Satan knew he was weakened and susceptible. The same happens with us.
Pray
Dear Jesus,
Satan tempts me, too, when I am at my weakest.
Please help me to resist with the power of the Holy Spirit
and the weapon of your word.
Protect me in those classic situations when I am most vulnerable—
hungry, angry, lonely, or tired.
Fill me with the knowledge that you are all I need
for nourishment and protection.
