We need to ask ourselves who and what governs our life. Where have our choices brought us? Where are they taking us?

It is impossible to live a human life in total independence, subject to nothing or to no one. We all have a master. We are called to be subject to grace, to the generosity of God

The coming of the Lord is not a one-time event. There are interim comings scattered throughout the life of the believer. We have to be ready to welcome Jesus whenever he comes.

None of us can represent Christ by ourselves. We need each other. We depend on one another. Each of us is a gift to our fellow believers.

The relationship between God and Abraham depended on God’s gift. What God offered to Abraham he also offers to us. It is up to us to accept God’s promises in faith.

The forgiveness of sins does not come as a result of our efforts, but as a gift of God. We are blessed whose sins the Lord does not record.

Salvation comes to us by the free gift of God which unites us with Christ through acceptance of the gift of his life.
