Authentic glory and praise belongs only to God because of his mercy and truth. All other gods–all other energies–are nothing in comparison with him.

Jesus calls not just for love between himself and his followers, but also for love between the disciples themselves: “Love one another as I love you.”

The kingdom of God is not a place for us to reach. It’s a person. It’s Jesus, who offers himself to each of us every day. He is our happiness.

This act of care and courtesy–washing the disciples’ feet–that is so far beneath the dignity of their master, is something that the disciples themselves are now being called on to exercise in turn.

We each have a fundamental choice to make between light and darkness. And we make that choice by the way in which we relate to Jesus today.

If you follow Jesus and accept his shepherding, he will lead you into eternal life, eternal happiness, eternal oneness with himself and the Father.
