It’s important for the Christian believer to reflect occasionally on the last judgment. If nothing else, such reflection will remind us that the time for change and repentance is now.

Many singles long for the joys, comforts, and challenges of married life, but it’s simply not in the cards for everyone. You’ll find my name on that list.

When the church’s sanctuary is empty, the sanctuary lamp still burns. It’s good to know that Jesus remains in our holy place even when the pews are vacant.

We can’t predict when or where the kingdom will appear in its final fullness. We can only try to be attentive to its manifestations as we continue to pray “Thy kingdom come.”

For whom could you be an angel? Today, try to reach out in some small way to one person.

When you set out to serve in your community, your body goes on defense to protect you. God designed our bodies as armor for our health so that we can serve his people without worry.

God loves his people. He wants to be close to them in all sorts of ways. That’s why we honor our churches and offer thanks for them.

Poverty exists first in the heart, or it doesn’t exist at all.

St. Francis of Assisi was an activist, pacifist, and prophet. In our own small ways, we can mirror his revolutionary spirit.

Sometimes we feel as if we’ll never be good enough to be fully loved by those around us–or by God—because shame creeps in and tells us only parts of us are good.
