Friend, your life is never God’s plan B. His will for your life is not second-best. The dreams God put on your heart are not leftovers or afterthoughts. He carries a bright torch for your life, and he desires to bear the most life-giving fruit through your unique life.
Pray
Dear God,
I am never an afterthought
to you.
My hopes, dreams,
and desires matter
to your heart.
May I never pursue those things
apart from you,
knowing your presence with me
is what brings peace and happiness.

I’m not saying not to want things, but rather to be realistic. That way, you won’t disappoint yourself. Some people are unrealistic and just want too much. Haven’t you heard of the saying, “Less is more.”?
