Amazing Grace

Woman writing in her journal

Reflect

For many of us who have walked the path of recovery from addiction, the hymn “Amazing Grace” stands as a testament to the power of redemption from brokenness. Most of us recovering addicts hear these words loud and clear: “I once was lost/But now I’m found/Was blind but now I see.” However, it is not just us addicts who have experienced amazing grace. Many more have been in a place of despair only to feel lifted up by a power beyond us.

Pray

Lord,
May I always be grateful
for the amazing grace you sent my way
to lift me out of the pit.
May I continue to honor that grace
by doing the ongoing work of healing.
Amen.

Act

In your journal, write about your experiences of amazing grace, remembering that you are not taking credit but rather celebrating in gratitude.
