Living an Analog Childhood

These days, we are all inundated with distractions thanks to the various forms of technology at our disposal. Kids, who have grown up in the digital age, don’t know any better and can become immersed in the online world—video games, social media, streaming media. Because of those distractions, gone are the days of playing outside until dark. As parents we need to help our kids learn to unplug–either through example or instruction.

So how do we as parents confront this reality when it comes to dealing with our kids? Kyle Kramer, father of three and executive director of the Passionist Earth & Spirit Center, talks about the blessings of keeping his kids offline and helping them be OK with it.
