The Lord is still generous to his people–to us. It might be good for us to reflect on the ways in which we experience the Lord’s generosity, and to offer him our thanks.

The law of the Lord refreshes the soul and gives wisdom to those willing to accept it. It brings joy and enlightenment to the believer’s heart and mind.
Today’s Responsorial Psalm is marching music. God is calling his people to make their way to his city, to take joy in his peace. God still calls his people to be with him. He calls us to come home to him.
God will triumph in the end. Everything sinful, wounded, warped will be made whole. Everything will turn out all right.
The promise of God’s conquest is a source of comfort for those who know and love him, but a source of fear from those who do not.
Everybody knows the story of Daniel in the lions’ den, perhaps because it’s a story about each of us. In one way or another we have all been rescued by God from danger.
God calls every earthly king to accounting. He brings the mighty to justice before him. No earthly power lasts forever.
