Did Jesus Have a Soul?

I’ve been a Catholic for 70 years and have tried to understand the mystery of the Trinity. The other day I wondered, Did Jesus have a soul?

Yes, Jesus had a human soul. He could not be truly God and truly human without a human soul. Otherwise, he would only have pretended to be human. Hebrews 4:15 says of Jesus: “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin.”

Over the centuries, some Christians have thought that Jesus would be easier to accept if he were only pretending to be human. That idea does not reflect what the Catholic Church believes about Jesus.

  1. Jesus was a spirit(invisible) and was “born out from” His Father before the creation of the world and the universe. He stayed on the bossom of God the Father and together with the Holy Spirit,, they as one God did the creation. Jesus left His glory as God the Son to his Father Almighty when He as a “seed” was put by the Holy Spirit inside Mary’s womb. So yes Jesus has a human soul. When He was born, He remembered Himself as God the Son and as a child growing up He knows that God is His Father. As a grown adult, He had instantaneous communication with God the Farher thru the Holy Spirit residing in Jesus after His water baptism by John the Baptist. He teaches sermons and God’s words as His Father is relaying those things to Him thru the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also gave Jesus the power to perform miracles and healings. After the crucifixion, He was resurrected by the Holy Spirit with a new human yet divine flesh. Therefore His human soul was now transformed into a divine soul. He went for a few days in Heaven where His glory as God the Son was restored and exalted by the Gid the Father that every thing in heaven, in earth and under it will now to Jesus. The Father now gave His authority to His Son to judge the world. The people who will get to heaven will have an incorruptible flesh like Jesus and divine soul forgetting his/her past earthly life.

    1. I think Jesus didn’t need to have a transformation of His soul because His human soul is already divine since he is sinless in the first place. Only people’s souls will be transformed into divine souls when they get to heaven.

    2. that doesn’t make sense how can you have a human soul and be god
if he knows that he has to communicate with the holy spirit is he god or does he rely on the Father and the holy spirit
if he has human soul was transferred to a divine soul does that mean that he was not god and then became god
and at the end you clam in heaven we will have divine soul like Jesus so are you implying that we will become god/gods in heaven

    3. John 10:18 No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from My Father.”
Matthew 12 (Matthew 12:40): “For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so for three days and three nights the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth.”

Jesus Christ did not go to the Father on that weekend.

The world is full of sheep. Sheep of the human kind. Let me tell you something that many Christians have not reflected on. If a person has a human soul. Then that person cannot be God. The human soul is not divine. It is created. If it is nit created we will all be Gods. How many of you know where you are going when you die. You are going whether you came from. To be divine and human is totally impossible. Is Almighty God divine and human at the same time. Does God suffer death? .
