Pause + Pray

Listen to the Silence

Reflect

In Psalm 19, the Psalmist tells us that all of nature proclaims God’s glory; that even though not a sound may be heard, even the darkness of night declares God’s glory. Do you hear it in the quiet? Can you see it in the darkness?

Pray

Oh Lord, open my eyes that I may see more clearly
the signs of your glory;

open my ears, that I can hear the wonder of creation;
and open my heart, my hands, and my lips
that I, too, may join in the song.

Act

If you can arise before dawn and listen to the quiet of the world awakening. Write down three things you hear or see, and share them (later) with a friend or family member.
