Grace in a Time of Quarantine

Reflect

I have experienced a time of quarantine. I have felt isolated, afraid and lonely. My emotions have been concealed behind a mask.

Pray

Jesus,
you spent a long time
in the desert
and long nights
in prayer.
I want to welcome solitude
but it seems dark
inside and out.
Send your Holy Spirit
to help me welcome
this new way of living.
Help me find
the grace that hides
in this challenging era.

Act

I will smile even if no one sees me smile. When a friend comes to mind, I will offer a prayer for that person.

God has a plan for us. Know there is much to learn while in quarantine time. It's kind of a "kairos" time/ God's time. We don't really know what's happening but God does. God's promises are true. This helps us hope to see God's plan revealed if we can Trust that God's time is the best time to be in. This is one thing Francis knew so well.

I miss my family who are not able to be here but knowing that they will be safer apart from me helps me to see the “light at the end of the tunnel”. I pray to Jesus that they will stay safe .

Believe and trust in the Lord. Through history there have periods where people have faced with certain death for their beliefs and a real and daily possible death due to war. We are strong if we allow God to be our coat of protection. You are never alone, Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Saints are always with us listening and praying.
