Reflect
“Woe to the solitary person! If that one should fall, there is no other to help” (Ecclesiastes 4:10). Sadly in our culture of individualism, many people find themselves alone. The elderly and infirm are particularly vulnerable. Let us pray for them now.
Pray
Lord, you are the Good Shepherd. When one of your flock is lost
you seek them out and bring them back into your embrace.
Be with those who are lonely and have no one to care for them.
Let them know your presence and the care of the people of God.
Amen.
Act
If you know someone who lives alone, consider giving them a call. Ask how they’re doing and let them know you’re offering this prayer for them today.
