When I’m disillusioned by the rhetoric surrounding this year’s election, I focus on a quote from Father Theodore Hesburgh: “Voting is a civic sacrament.”
As editors, we’re fortunate to work with a collective of talented writers, photographers, copy editors, and artists.
I’ve made a concerted effort this year to divest from the 24-hour news cycle—a much harder task than I had anticipated.
For lay Catholics, perhaps we focus too readily on what our religious give up over what they gain.
