Jesus left no formal religious rule for his followers. The closest he came was his proclamation of the Beatitudes: Blessed are the poor in spirit, the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers
Today’s First Reading describes a vision of a multitude beyond number. They stand before God praising and thanking him for the salvation that he has conferred on them all.
Halloween’s roots lie in an ancient pagan festival for the dead. While this autumn feast can be used for evil purposes, our culture celebrates it as an innocent night of begging and fun.
