We are always working to be good enough. Good enough for our family, for our marriage, for our friends, for the world around us. Yet, when God created us he not only knew we were wholly good, but he reveled in it: “And God knew that this was very good” (Genesis 1:31).
To the one who loves all of me,
may I come to know deeply
the breath of life that you shared with me.
May I come to know your love that draws me,
whole as I am,
closer to your heart.
May the lies of the world hold no claim over me.
May I know that to you, I am good.
Today, pray with the truth that you are good, and that God calls you to participate in his goodness every day.
