Reflect
Jesus once challenged his followers to consider the lilies. The Lord reminded them that although the lilies neither toil nor spin, their beauty exceeds that of King Solomon’s palace. God wants all of us to enjoy—to rejoice, delight, dance, sing, love, and play. Let us not only pray, let us play—today!
Pray
Loving God, help me to rejoice in this day.
Help me to let go of my agenda,
to relax for a while, to play,
to be absolutely worthless for a few minutes,
to accept your grace
and in my apparent worthlessness
to add to the beauty and wonder of life.
Amen.
