War, disease, and political unrest make living in this century hard work at times. But as Christians, the challenge before us is to find hope in the darkest moments and seek for a peaceful world.
Pray
God of peace,
The ugliness of the world
is not what your son worked for in his lifetime.
He called us to build up
the kingdom in our own way—
brick by brick.
He taught us that, as children of God,
love is the greatest of virtues and peace is a result of justice.
Let it begin with me.
Amen.
