Connect with the World, Exult with the Heavens

We spend time in prayer to do what St. Francis of Assisi asked his followers to do just before he died. With Francis, we desire to connect with the world through our prayer and to exult with the heavens by our lives. We praise Christ present on the altar of our churches and in everyone we meet. We adore the body of Christ present in the hungry of the world. We share the blood of Christ when we assist the poor and suffering in the world. With delight, we exult with the amazing creatures in the depths of the sea. With awe and wonder, we praise the living God, Loving Presence, in the expanding universe. In all the atoms, molecules, waves, and particles of light, we give glory to the living God by our lives and by our prayer.

O Loving Presence, we adore you on the altars of worship.
O Loving Presence, we praise you on the altar of the earth.
O Loving Presence, we stand in awe at the wonders and mystery of the universe.
May we know the wonder of your love in the Eucharist.
May we treasure all peoples of the earth. May we tremble with delight at the galaxies of the heavens.
We adore you, O Loving Presence, every day of our lives.

Today, tomorrow, and the next day, be intent when you awake to adore Christ with a loving thought, to exult with a gracious greeting the living God in your neighbor, and to offer praise when you stand in awe of a sunset or a thundercloud.
