St. Francis' Holy Simplicity

Reflect

Sometimes, we chuckle a bit at just how literally Francis of Assisi took divine direction. Think, for example, of when Jesus asked him to rebuild his Church, and Francis went to work, physically. But maybe that’s the better way to follow—to do as God desires, with course corrections along the way, rather than sitting and fretting over what God really means.

Pray

St. Francis of Assisi,
may I love God and my neighbor
as simply and completely as you did.
Amen.

Act

That thing God has been asking you to do that you’ve been hemming and hawing about, even though you know exactly what is desired—do it.
